I have a good idea with clothes, etc.
But i mean, when do i need to get a stroller?!, etc.
Anyone got any good car capsules?
Any strollers you would reccomend?
I’m a fairly young mom, expecting a boy. I want to look pretty trendy. haha.
HELP with all that sort of thing – please!
grace.
Oh and what are those baby like slings called?
& At what age can i use all of it?
Sorry, I’m so dumb!
Get basics I did! Like I didn’t even buy a pram until I new my baby and what I needed, as I dont need a running pram as I don’t run!
I love best and less but not sure if there’s that in the states? Or pumpkin patch?
Get baby suits for the hospital and first few weeks, like bonds and then once you’re up to it get the fashion going and find out what your baby needs and what you like!
My son now has cool boy clothes hehehe! Its great and I only stated out on hand me downs and a few baby suits!
Have fun shopping for baby stuff how exciting! Its still thrilling, not on the wallet but for me it is!
I had a sling but my baby boy is so heavy I couldn’t use for long because some only allow up to 8 to 10kgs and my son is now 9kgs in 6months so…just wait and see!
Oh high chair won’t nee dtill they start eating 6months or so!
Clothes: Target (cheap) Gap Kids (High End)
High Chairs, Booster Seats, Car Seats: Costco (Cheap) Eddie Baure (High End)
Look at the babies in the magazines. See what they’re wearing. Look up what stars live by for their kids. Congrats!

do not rush to get a cot… being first & young you may like to have baby asleep in ‘carry-cot’ next to you by the bed and you can lay and watch your bambino sleep & breath… for hours & hours…

Third baby slept in rocking crib next to bed with slight upward incline – did not go to cot for 6 months…

well my most budget friendly idea IF you are wanting to have more children later is to buy ALL of your big ticket items in neutral colors. These are essentials:
travel system (stroller and infant carrier)
diaper bag
crib
seriously, that is all you really need to start with…of course when you are expecting, you want to buy everything plus some for your baby, and go for it, but always remember that after he/she comes, you can still go buy things lol!! I would recommend graco systems, they are excellent, easy, and get good reviews.

Getting a stroller depends on when you plan to be out and about with the baby. I had one from the start. For newborns, it’s nice to have the car seat/carrier/stroller combos. I have a Graco – it’s cute, functionable AND affordable.
A ‘pack n play’ is nice to have if you will be taking the baby around, but it’s not necessary. We just wheeled our daughter’s cradle with us from room to room.
You don’t need a high chair for quite a while. Same goes for exercisers, walkers, seats, etc.
Good luck!

Trendy… man you can spend a lot of money really fast trying to be trendy….
A good travel system that’s a baby carrier and stroller combo will set you back around $300 +- depending on the brand name. Joggers are the big thing these days and by themselves run close to $200 and up.
I should know I’m a new Grandpa and just bought all that stuff for my granddaughter… I’ll let you in on a secret that will save you a ton of money though… buy what you can from craigslist… I got my daughter a nice travel system for $50 a jogger for $30 and still had money left over to get her several trash bags full of top of the line new born baby girl clothes for $20… $100 bucks for all that wasn’t bad and left me extra to spend the rest on the baby’s room crib and other essentials like diapers… lets not kid ourselves babies are expensive and you’ll want to keep extra money handy for the toys he’ll want in a couple, three months.
I added the general site for cregslist just click on the city closest to you and look for the baby/kids section…good luck and best wishes for you and your little one

The books, "What to Expect While You’re Expecting," and "What to Expect During the First Year" offer very nice lists of things you’ll need and how many. Babies R Us also offers a terrific checklist if you go there to create a registry. I found though, that the best resource was my sister, who has 3 kids of her own. We went through the store and she just pointed to everything and said, "you’ll need 2 of these, 4 of these, and don’t bother with that" and I wrote down a list of what she recommended. Ask a friend or relative who has younger kids to help you out – it’s a lot of fun
On the bigger-ticket items (car seat, strollers), I read reviews on Babies R Us. It takes some time, but you’re less likely to end up with a lemon or paying too much for something.
