My daughter is turning one in 6 weeks and is just starting to wear 6-9 months clothes, she is 50th percentile for height but not on the charts for weight…does any one have any suggestions, I looked online at personalized birthday dresses but they all start at 12 months…which will just fall off of her…
I guess I should say that I really one want that says birthday girl or one on it, I have been looking on ebay and they have some really cute personalized ones but they start at 12 months
Go to a bridal store…or like david’s bridal…they will have alot of kids dresses if you really want to go formal for her.
First birthday dress for a small baby?

I had the opposite problem, my daughter was 27in and 28lb in size 24 months at a year
Smaller is better
Look for a cotton 12 month, wash in hot water and dry on high, this should make a cotton dress smaller
If some you know can sew, get a 12 month dress, and let the fit it
Good luck

My daughter is the same way. She’s just turned 1 and barely fits 6/9. They seem to make clothes for ‘fatter’ babies now a days. A lot of the stores have fancy dresses for 6/9 mths. It doesn;t have to be a 12 month dress. My daughter is tall for her age and eats like no bodys business but shes very busy and burns off a lot of the calories, shes just tall. Have you tried ebay?

I had the same issue for my daughters first birthday.
My daughter was in 0-3 months clothes for her birthday she was born at 27 weeks extreemly premature so I still have the clothing issue she is 15 months and only in 3-6 month old clothes now. I would buy a plain dress in her size I got some from k mart in her size and you can buy transfer paper that you can print on then you iron the design you printed on the paper on the dress you buy for your daughter. Or you can take the dress to a printers and they will print what you want on the dress.
Hope this helps.

Find a cute 6-9mo dress you like, and that can be embroidered… take it to an embroidery shop (…look in the yellow pages… seamstress…etc… some quilting places may also do it…) and have them embroider "birthday girl" on it… or whatever you want on it.

I’m not really sure where to get a "birthday dress" like you are looking for. Like one that actually says birthday girl on it. My suggestion is to get a pretty dress for a younger baby that will fit your little girl, and then make a sash for her to waer that says birthday girl on it. Like the ones that beauty contest girls wear.
I got a really cute dress for my baby for her first pictures at The Baby Depot at Burlington Coat factory. You can probably google it. I bought mine for only $15 and its beautiful!
