Get basics I did! Like I didn’t even buy a pram until I new my baby and what I needed, as I dont need a running pram as I don’t run!

I love best and less but not sure if there’s that in the states? Or pumpkin patch?

Get baby suits for the hospital and first few weeks, like bonds and then once you’re up to it get the fashion going and find out what your baby needs and what you like!

My son now has cool boy clothes hehehe! Its great and I only stated out on hand me downs and a few baby suits!

Have fun shopping for baby stuff how exciting! Its still thrilling, not on the wallet but for me it is!

I had a sling but my baby boy is so heavy I couldn’t use for long because some only allow up to 8 to 10kgs and my son is now 9kgs in 6months so…just wait and see!
Oh high chair won’t nee dtill they start eating 6months or so!

Once in awhile me and the hubby want to go out for drinks etc. and I want to buy some jeans; look trendy. I need help from the young "fashionistas"…

Jeans straight or bell, high waisted or low waisted? Tops baby doll or tank, layered tops? Shoes cork screw heels or strappy slip on sandals HELP

I would personally go with some cute dark colored boot cut jeans (slight flare, not too big), if you can pull it off, go with a low waist. I’d do a cami style tank top in a plain color and then play up the accessories with fun dangly earrings and maybe some bracelets or a fun necklace. I’d wear some wedge sandals or some other type of heel. You’ll look young, chic, and trendy. good luck and have a great night out with your man!

I’ve read a few people being criticised for this sort of thing before and I’ve had a couple of doses of it myself. For example, the other day there was a question about favourite outfits for your child or something, so I said my favourite clothes that he has are his four black rock bodysuits (of various bands), that he wears with jeans as t-shirts on warmer days. They look so cute in my opinion, but some people are of the opinion that it’s terrible to put black clothes on babies. I also said that I also liked it when he wears a pair of jeans and a white button up shirt (not a stiff ’smart’ shirt or anything, just a day shirt). Out of all the answers, I was the only one to receive thumbs downs.

I also had a comment the other day – he was wearing a deep pink and navy blue polo shirt – it was from the BOYS section and isn’t a girly style at all, despite the main colour being the pink. I’ve always thought boys look nice in pink, it’s the only pink thing he owns, and he isn’t old enough to get teased for it so I don’t see the problem. He was wearing it with a pair of light coloured jeans that were held up with a [necessary] belt (otherwise they fall down – he is thin and tall) – and the belt is black and white chequered like you see some teenage boys wearing. Obviously that outfit wouldn’t be everybody’s cup of tea but I think he looked gorgeous and as I said, he’s too young for being teased – I’ll stick to spiderman tops and whatnot when he’s older I’m sure! But anyway we were at a play centre and a bitchy woman actually came over to me and asked "is that your kid" and proceeded to tell me I was pathetic for dressing him in trendy clothes and that I must be very shallow. Please note I had done NOTHING to her, she just came over to me and said that off her own back! Her children were all wearing clothes resembling pyjamas, but I wouldn’t dream of judging her for it!

Why do some people have an issue with it? I could understand if I was putting him in really tight or stiff or uncomfortable outfits. But they’re no less comfortable than anything, they simply look ‘fashionable’. I by no means think it’s important, and I’d dress him in a sweatsuit in a minute if I thought it would make him any happier. But when it makes no difference to him – what exactly is the problem? Why would I walk into a shop and buy something I prefer less when it is no more comfortable and no more advantageous to him? Does this really make me shallow?

Not A Well Behaved Woman – well doesn’t your username say it all Haha – my son has the Guns n Roses one right now! I haven’t seen the ACDC one! They’re both adorable!

Seshy – I don’t spend a lot of money. Did you not read the part where I said I don’t buy labels? I have no problem with those who do, but I don’t have the money for it myself. I buy his clothes from the same shops that I would buy them from even if I was getting him sweatsuits and pyjama like outfits, so the money is nothing to do with it. I didn’t realise that buying nice clothes that I could afford meant I was treating my son like a doll. Perhaps I should start buying clothes I find ugly for the same price, I’d be a better mother then, right?

Honestly? I have no idea why people care so much. My daughter has a shirt that says "I have issues… already" and my son has a shirt that says "Parents, lock up your daughters!"

Sure I’ve gotten horrible looks. I really don’t care though because it looks cute on my kids. I think as long as your not putting shirts with naked women on your son, you’re just fine. Ignore the butts I’m sure your boy is adorable.

I have the extra skin..that is what I call it! And the only time I put on makeup and jeans is for work and then I dont’ feel like i used to…I feel "eh" or just ok.

I do so much for my boyfriend and he is really nasty bk to me.
So many ppl no wot he is lyk an keep telin me he is bad. On various occasions I hav went up 2 Ben, (so scared) an hav tld him how i feel. i hav bin ded nyc about it telling him sum things he says an duz makes me feel upset. and he has threatened 2 hurt me an as he says ’smash my face in’ he has also tld me hes cumin 2 myn the next day… then sed… ‘oh u wait until tomorrow’ he has sed hes beat up his mum an his sister an he is not scared 2 hurt me. He is really worrying me. Everything he does. He never seems to want to spk 2 me. My mate tld me he is flirting to other girls on msn, thats y he duznt spk 2 me on it. an one nyt i asked him 2 go on webcam, he went on it 2 my best mate insted. He has finished me twice because i hav tld him how i feel and he has got angry about it.

Twice now. I ahve found porn magazines in his room, when the 1st tym he sed he wil get rid of it.. Y wud he have these if he has a girlfriend he supposingly loves. Then he tries covering it up by saying porn is for old dirty perverts, but actually he has them in his room. Then the 2nd tym i found one he had a go at me saying he tried to hide it and he didnt wan tme to see it!!!…So he was going to hide it from me…in which relationship to people keep secrets? And then he used the excuse y he has them… apparantly so he can find new things and positions we can do… once again 4 sex!
If i am ever hurting while we r doing it, he doesnt care at all. He will carry on or sumtyms, do it harder. He has asked me a few tyms coz u can tel from my face it hurts. he has asked me if it duz hurt an i say yes, so he duz it even harder.

I can’t tel him how i feel or anything becoz i no i wil get shouted at, threatened and then once again, finished.

He sometimes tries to be ncie to me. But he duz go Over the top. He tells me he wants a baby with me! :O… I wud not hava baby with sumbody that never has the tym 2 c me… never mind me and a baby. and also neevr wiv sum1 that has anger problems an threatens to hurt me… I am not that irresponsible… especially towards a child.
He took me to asda on tuesday 2 luk at baby clothes! And was saying to me that everybody must think we have a kid! I was thinking no way!

Ben made me wait 2 hours and 50 minuites waiting for him and he didnt even turn up. He chooses his friends over me, then expects me 2 have a child with him. He turned up at my house 5 hours late.

He has never sed i luk nice in any clothes I wear and i try my best to look nice for him. I shop in expensive an d trendy shops. All the new clothes i get, the clothes on show in the windows and he tells me Ia m unfashionable. And wil see ppl and tel me i should dress like them.
Like everybody says, he treats me horribly and always makes me go to sleep crying and really upset..

U shouldnt stay wit sum1 who constantly upsets u like that. The way he treats u isnt love. U can try 2 change sum1 all u want but in the end it all comes down 2 them having to decide for themselves. U can do better. Life is 2 short 2 spend it unhappy. Leave him and if he wants 2 keep threatening u should get a restraining order. And if u stay (which i really dont recommend)….once he hits u once its easier 2 do it again. Abusive relationships arent healthy. Even if he isnt physically abusing u he’s abusing u emotionally. If he really loved u he wouldnt be treating u like the dirt at the bottom of his shoe.
