people say yo me have you strated to buy for oyur baby yet im like no cos its a little early,
look blokes you have no idea,
I personally have never bought anything until after my 20 week scan – frightened that there is too much can go wrong and don’t like to tempt fate! But it’s a case of God help those shops once I have my scan lol!
It is up to you what you do, but try not to get too carried away!!
EDIT
It absolutely bugs me why people give thumbs down for nothing! I did not say that you should or shouldn’t buy anything – at the end of the day it’s up to her, just that I didn’t!
I don’t see how that is an inappropriate comment!!
I would wait until the end, perhaps a month before your due date. Anything earlier seems like tempting fate to me.

with both of my kids i started buying onsies and diapers as soon as i found out i was pregnant. by the time my kids were born their rooms were filled. i bought enough diapers that i didnt have to buy any until they were each around 9 months….

I would not because like the other person (1st response) said it’s like testing fate and I’ve always heard the old wives tale that it’s bad luck to buy anything until your three months along. Good Luck and try not to worry about it – have fun!

Don’t buy baby clothes…. you might MISCARRAGE.
And you don’t know if its a boy or girl yet.
It’s too early.
Wait it out!

I would buy them further into my pregnancy, say after the 12th week – BUT that’s cos I wouldn’t want to temp fate (even though it wouldn’t and sounds silly!).
Good luck and congrats x

baby clothes should be bought only when your labor time comes nearer and not early at the 2-3 weeks time.
I would suggest you to wait and enjoy your motherhood and donot indulge your self in baby shopping.
There can be any consequences and buying your self baby stuff is not wise, you may buy dolls and soft toys but no clothes.
Wish you a healthy and safe pregnancy.

you can buy whenever just becareful. i was ttc for a year and a half then i got a positive test and got excited and almost bought every baby thing i saw when i went to the dr. he said i was mis carring so im glad i didnt buy anything to remind me more of what i lost. it may be better to wait till about the third month just so if something happens(god forbid) you wont be as upset.

i’d say after 12 weeks, cause of the chances of a misscarrage will drop dramatically. OR when you know the sex of your baby. You dont want to go buying pink clothes for a boy.

we are at 18 weeks and have not purchased anything yet. we are kinda holding out to see if its a boy or a girl. We have however, started a tote of baby things that we have recieved as gifts. I’d wait, 7 weeks is pretty early and miscarriage is still a 1 of 8 possibility until approximately 12 weeks.
best wishes to yoU!

I couldn’t wait to start buying things either but decided to wait until 12 weeks. Then I never actually got around to it until gone 20 weeks. I then knew the sex, and waited for the sales so I could buy all top line clothes at half price. We’ve now bought everything he eeds until he’s one year old! I’d wait a few more weeks yet.

I didn’t start buying baby clothes etc until I was about 7 months. I actually bought the last things I needed a couple of weeks before my daughter was born. Also I had to buy the most of the things twice as I was told she was a boy and it turned out just with the last scan

I’m 28 wks and haven’t bought anything yet. I think I’ll get a few bits in the next few weeks. We have picked the pram and have money in the bank for it. Haven’t even looked at any of the bigger things yet. Like some of the others I don’t want to tempt fate and even though I’m well on I know of three other girls who lost their babies recently all were 6 months or more.

I’m 13 weeks, almost 14 weeks and I first bought something around 7 weeks and am now starting to buy a few more bits and pieces. I think it’s up to you, I don’t believe in fate. Jut do what you’re comfortable doing whether it’s to buy things now or later in the pregnancy. As for clothes, we’re waiting to find out the sex first so we know who to buy for.
