Mommies: Do you have a hard time stopping yourself from buying baby clothes?

My son is 2 weeks old [3 weeks old on Easter Sunday] and when I go out to do my weekly shopping for the necessities [like shampoo and toothpaste] I always come home with a new outfit for him.

It’s not like I don’t have enough between my preparing when I was pregnant, my baby shower, and my relatives, but I always seem to HAVE to get him something.

I’m the exact same. He has more clothes than he’ll ever be able to wear but i’m always bringing home something new. It’s fun and I can’t help it.

Our little ones have the same birthday!

It got easier when they got bigger. Somehow the little bitty stuff is just so stinking cute it’s hard to resist! Occasionally when I’m out shopping I’ll see something adorable and think "I wish I knew someone with a baby girl that size so I could buy it for them". Now that they are almost 5 and 2.5, the clothes just aren’t quite so cute anymore.

I was like that at first too but I eventually stopped myself. He had too much clothing as it was and there was no way he’d be able to wear what I was getting him much more than once or twice.

Now that he’s not growing so much, so fast, I do pick him up little shirts or shorts here and there but he just had his first birthday so he’s pretty set for summer now.

Yes, I can’t stop buying my son clothes either. Baby stuff is just so cute and hard to resist. My hubby is starting to get mad and keeps telling me to stop. So, now, a lot of times I buy clothes in the colors of my hubby’s favorite sports teams or with little cute sayings like "Daddy’s Team–Future MVP", or "Daddy’s helper" or with footballs on it (daddy’s favorite sport) and he never gets mad! (hehe)

Yes, I’m terrible about it. My son is 5 months old and has so many clothes it’s ridiculous. I’ve gotten a little better about clothes lately because there were so many outfits I bought that he outgrew before he ever even wore, but toys are my new issue. watch out for that as your son get a little older…there are so many toys and books, it’s easy to spoil them!

yes it’s getting really bad because her closet is stuffed to the max, and her drawers are all full. We have a hampers full of clothes that doesn’t fit her anymore. I went shopping a couple weekends ago and spent 600 bucks on my baby and me. I think I have a problem. If I’m not spending money on clothes, I spend money baby things. I just love shopping for baby clothes and things.

I’m horrible at this! My son has SO many clothes, many of which he’ll never, ever wear… yet I continue to buy him clothes all the time. My husband tells me not to buy anymore… then I go and do it anyways. If it’s not clothes, I have to get him a toy for when he’s older, or more binky’s or something!!!
