Don’t let anyone rain on your parade…this is an exciting time…if you want to buy something for your little bundle then buy something…if he doesn’t … than he doesn’t have to…but don’t feel embarrassed…tell him how you feel … and if he’s any kind of man he’ll stop saying that and support you…good luck and congrats!

My wife has been baby clothes crazy as well. She's about 6 months pregnanant and I keep telling her to wait until the baby shower to buy any clothes. Of course, if she sees some great deals (and I mean, like less than $5), then she can buy baby clothes anytime. But really I think its best to wait until the sex is known (assuming you don't want to keep it a secret), and after the baby shower to start buying a lot of baby clothes. Also, your husband should be a little more considerate of you if he gets to be "mean" about buying clothes.

I am a mother of three and I didn't start until I was about 5 months. I agree with your husband because anything could go wrong.(not saying or hoping it will) If it does then u would be very upset because u have brought all those things.Things happen in life that u don't expect. So my advise is to maybe spoil yourself a little and take it easy. U shouldn't be embarrassed though this should be a happy time for the both of u. Good luck!!!

You should really Waite because any thing could happen i hate to say that but it is true and god for bid some thing did happen you have all the things to remind you that you were pregnant just wait a few it will come fast to buy things for your new baby.

I don't think you should feel embarrassed but I agree with him. I personally wouldn't want my daughter or son wearing all neutral stuff, so I would much rather wait to find out the sex so I could buy cute outfits for their specific gender.

Not the best time to start sneaking around buying things behind his back, just relax…….you will have plenty of time for shopping once your a little further into your pregnancy and any risks are behind you.

It’s natural to be excited about your baby and want to buy stuff. I personally would wait a little bit before buying so much stuff because i’m a worry-wart and at 14 weeks, I still haven’t bought anything. It might be hard god-forbid something should happen and you have all those things in the house.

If it embarasses you so much with your husband then shop without him and don’t show him what you buy. I would find that so hard to do because I’m always pointing out stuff in the store to my husband. Good luck!

Awww you know what its completely normal. My hubby was the same way, it was like until he seen the ultrasound and a growing belly it was real to him yet. Ever heard you become a mommy the day you find out your pregnant, a dad becomes a daddy when the baby arrives....in my own experiance this has rang true. While i am constantly searching baby stuff and reading reviews online he looking up motorcycles and truck parts lol. Im sure hes excited but has a hard way of showing it so early, its probably still sinking in for him. Buy a few little things right now and then just hold off until the doc appt whne he hears the heart beat or sees and u/s. You could always talk to him about this too, but try to understand him too hes a man and we are woman. CONGRATS!

I would continue to browse and look around, but try to abstain from actually purchasing anything else just yet. If you decide to find out what the baby is, you'll really want to buy stuff then, and it will be hard to justify if you've already bought everything in the beginning. If you find something you really LOVE, get it, but otherwise, wait a bit. Remember, you'll be pregnant for almost a year, so you have plenty of time to pick out things. Congratulations! It's nice to hear about someone being so excited!

You shouldn’t be embarrassed but maybe you should stop. I agree with your hubby, it is to early to buy anything.

I don’t want to make you feel bad or don’t want to be negative here, but so many thing can happen in the first trimester. It is just not a good idea to buy anything in the first trimester.
